Lilith in Mythology

In Judaic mythology, Lilith is a demonic character who is either the primordial she-demon or Adam’s first wife. She is thought to have been mentioned in Biblical Hebrew in the Book of Isaiah and then in Late Antiquity in Mandaean Gnosticism mythology and Jewish mythology sources beginning around 500 CE. Lilith appears in numerous concepts and locations that give partial descriptions of her history (incantations incorporating a legendary short story). She is described as “a scorching flaming female who originally cohabited with man” in the Babylonian Talmud (Eruvin 100b, Niddah 24b, Shabbat 151b, Baba Bathra 73a), in the Book of Adam and Eve as Adam’s first wife, and the Zohar Leviticus 19a. Lilith may have descended from an earlier class of female demons (lilû, lilîtu, and (w)ardat lilî) in Ancient Mesopotamian religion, as evidenced by Sumerian, Assyrian, and Babylonian cuneiform literature. In modern Western culture, literature, occultism, fantasy, and horror, Lilith continues to be a source of inspiration.

Lilith The Second Moon of Earth

Lilith, also known as Sepharial, is a hypothetical second moon of Earth with a mass equal to that of the Earth’s Moon, proposed in 1918 by astrologer Walter Gorn Old. Sepharial derived the name Lilith from a medieval Jewish story describing her as Adam’s first wife. Sepharial said that Lilith was the identical second Moon discovered by scientist Georg Waltemath twenty years before. Sepharial also claimed to be the first person in history to witness Waltemath’s Moon as it passed in front of the sun, alleging that it would have been too dark to see otherwise. Sepharial’s words missed the fact that the scientific community had already derided Waltemath’s proposed Moon at the turn of the century. The reasons for Lilith’s existence are riddled with faults, and only a limited percentage of people believe in the reality of this astronomical entity. In modern astrology, the name Black Moon Lilith refers to a point on the horoscope representing the actual Moon’s apogee. The Lilith is sometimes referred to as the second focus of the ellipse formed by the Moon’s orbit; the first focus is the Earth, and the apogee is also in the same direction. The zodiac circuit takes eight years and ten months to complete.

Lilith in 1st House, Lilith in 2nd House

Lilith in 1st House
Lilith has felt that exerting themselves and making self-centered executive decisions are selfish or otherwise improper in the first house. They may have felt shame for having self-centered characteristics, taking the initiative without asking, or making self-centered decisions. They may distrust people who exhibit 1st House characteristics, owing to their surprise at how they can do so without apologizing! There can be a fear of taking the initiative, asserting oneself, making executive decisions, and a desire to do so, leading to extremes in these areas of conduct. The goal is to accept these characteristics as they are.
Lilith in 2nd House
For self-indulgence, not sharing, holding on to belongings too tightly, and enjoying themselves without apology, Lilith in the 2nd House has felt shame. They feel guilty or wrong for doing these things, which can lead to various behaviors, including hoarding, purging, or something in between, but feeling humiliated for indulging or becoming comfortable. They may struggle to feel satiated, but they also fear being in a state of longing. Perhaps they were penalized in some way for taking their time, relishing what they had, or simply enjoying and indulging themselves.

Lilith in 3rd House, Lilith in 4th House

Lilith in 3rd House
Lilith in the 3rd House has felt ashamed for speaking too much or too little or for their intelligence or social abilities. They may be suspicious of people who appear indulgent in these ways – social butterflies, talk excessively or flaunt their brilliance. Their curiosity may have been repressed somehow, and they may be afraid of being labeled as uneducated. When they’re upset, they can say some very nasty things! Shame in these areas can lead to out-of-control conduct and a sense of helplessness. The key to empowerment is to work on self-acceptance.
Lilith in 4th House
For whatever reason, Lilith in the 4th House has felt ashamed of being needy or dependent, and she feels awkward or even angry with people who express these tendencies without apologies. Their nurturing nature was inhibited somehow, and as a result, they may be hesitant to seek help and display their caring nature. This discomfort might lead to out-of-control conduct in this area, followed by doubts, continuing the cycle. The key to empowerment is to work on self-acceptance.

Lilith in 5th House, Lilith in 6th House

Lilith in 5th House
Lilith in the 5th House has felt guilty or otherwise bad for drawing extra attention to oneself, pursuing the spotlight, or competing against others. They may feel uneasy with people who exhibit these 5th House characteristics. This humiliation or discomfort can lead to out-of-control conduct in certain areas, escalating the problem. They must learn to accept the usual desire for applause. Moderation and empowerment require self-acceptance.
Lilith in 6th House
Lilith has felt guilty, off, or wrong about giving extra attention to the practical side of life, such as details, order, and routines, because she is in the 6th House. They may go to great lengths to demonstrate that they aren’t ordinary, worried, eager to please, or detail-oriented enough to perfect a craft or project. Leaving a lot of work undone can indicate perfectionist expectations; this way, they don’t have to worry about delivering something flawless. Extreme behavior and bingeing/purging in these areas can indicate a problem. The key to empowerment is to work on self-acceptance.

Lilith in 7th House, Lilith in 8th House

Lilith in 7th House
Lilith has felt guilty or bad for requiring friendship or seeking approval from people in the 7th House. Alternatively, they may believe that dependency and compromise are weak and not “proper,” and they may be uncomfortable with people who appear to require these things. Extremes of conduct in these areas might result in the absence of self-acceptance regarding these genuine demands, perpetuating the cycle and the problem. The key to empowerment is to work on self-acceptance.
Lilith in 8th House
Lilith has been guilty of her natural desire for closeness, attachment, and depth touch in the 8th House. They may feel guilty if they display jealousy, possessiveness, attachment, or other emotions, and they may feel uneasy around others who are particularly passionate and attached. In these areas, a lack of self-acceptance might lead to extreme conduct, exacerbating the situation. Working on accepting these attributes is part of self-empowerment.

Lilith in 9th House, Lilith in 10th House

Lilith in 9th House
Lilith in the 9th House has been guilty of their curiosity, restlessness, urge to test and question life/facts/beliefs or the want to get away, expand, and seek meaning. They may feel uneasy with people who exhibit these Sagittarian characteristics, as though they don’t trust them. When they are pressured, though, they can go to extremes in these areas. The key to empowerment is to work on self-acceptance.
Lilith in 10th House
Lilith in the 10th House has felt ashamed or otherwise incorrect for wanting to excel, succeed, or achieve worldly objectives and desires. They may feel uneasy with people who appear materialistic, status-conscious, or very business-minded, realistic, or ambitious. Connecting with their wants and need for others’ approval might be difficult, but doing so and allowing yourself to feel these needs can be life-changing. If they are uncomfortable with these things, on the other hand, they may go to extremes in these areas and then feel horrible about it. Self-acceptance and moderation are the keys to empowerment.

Lilith in 11th House, Lilith in 12th House

Lilith in 11th House
Lilith in the 11th House has felt ashamed or out of place for wanting to be a member of a group, team, or community – for wanting to fit in – and is apprehensive of people who appear to require these things. The solution is not to deny these basic demands. This can lead to social bingeing and purging–going all-out, feeling horrible about it, hiding away, and repeating the cycle. Instead, self-acceptance can assist them in becoming more empowered and putting an end to their extreme behavior in these areas.
Lilith in 12th House
Lilith in the 12th House has felt humiliated or off for being dependent, empathetic, or wishy-washy, or for their spiritual side. This person can be irritated by people who reject labels, which are not aggressive or eager to take the lead. These tendencies can lead to extremes of behavior and repeated cycles of bingeing and purging if they reject or feel ashamed of their immediate demands in these areas. Self-acceptance is the path to moderation and empowerment.
